Iron Village Preparatory Academy is seeking a volunteer Administrative Assistant to provide administrative and clerical support for this 3-year-old nonprofit organization, including supporting our three-week summer camp for rising 1st-8th graders, the Enrich + Empower Institute.

This position will be a 5-8 hour a week, remote, paid volunteer position, with the Administrative Assistant receiving a stipend payment in June 2024.

Duties/Responsibilities:

  • Scheduling utilizing Google Calendar

  • Communication with staff, families, partners and others

  • Collaborating with the Village Coordinator on certain administrative tasks

  • Other duties as needed include ordering supplies, data entry, special projects, etc.

  • Monitoring budget and other expense tracking

  • Collaborating with the Executive Director to coordinate training opportunities for staff

  • Manage business routines and document processes

  • Maintain insurance and licensing documentation

Skills/Competencies

  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, including the ability to collaborate with others

  • Proficiency in using technology, including the ability to collaborate with others

  • Project management skills

Ideal Candidate Attributes/Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent required

  • Minimum of one year experience in successful office administration. School office administrative experience a plus
